01 – Bittersweet love

W1 – Bittersweet love – Central District

We stopped by the “newly” painted Pratt wall this week. We used to lived in that neighborhood after getting married and loved it. Litteraly loved it, 30 min walk to DT Seattle, 5 min Bike ride.. We did not own a car at that time.. Walking up Yelser or Jefferson… Afro Mini store, Ezell’s Chicken, Pratt, R&L Home of Good Bar-B-Q, Moonlight Cafe, Franz, Red Apple, Samarya Center.. A lot happened/changed during the 4 years we were in France and for sure now we cannot afford to live there anymore. Real estate market went up like crazy in Seattle. We were aware of it when we decided to move back to beautiful PNW and it’s ok. We can still visit, walk around the neighborhood and down to lake Washington. Sight ***

Pratt is one of the best place to go to when you want to learn a new craft, Mr H has taught there and taken workshop too. It is a good way to learn from great artists. I really enjoyed their Jewellry/Metasmithing classes and the glass photo kilnforming workshop myself!

What about you? Any bittersweet old neighborhood love?
